Ballet

Ballet forms the foundation for all our dance studies.

We accept children in the term after they are 3 years old. These first classes introduce children to basic dance steps and encourage imaginative use of movement through music and singing. The classes incorporate the national guidelines for pre-school dance.

Children progress to the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) Cecchetti Standard Examinations. These have been especially designed for those dancing once a week. Within these classes we incorporate the National Curriculum for dance Key Stages 1-4.

Some children choose to attend a second ballet class. These follow the Grade syllabi and lead on to the major examinations and professional qualifications.

Modern Theatre Jazz

Technique classes, which explore different styles of Modern Theatre Jazz, rhythm and body structure. Students work towards the ISTD Modern Grades, Majors and professional qualifications.
Age 7+

Older students are offered the chance to join our performing group.
