Cumbria Dance: Ballet
Ballet forms the foundation for all our dance studies for children once they start full-time school (Reception). Children progress to the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) Cecchetti Standard Examinations. These have been especially designed for those dancing once a week. Within these classes we incorporate the National Curriculum for dance Key Stage 1-4.
Some children choose to attend a second ballet class. These classes follow the Grade syllabi and lead on to the Major examinations and professional qualifications.
